Food was really good. It was my first time having ramen. It’s a real low key chill spot. Food was good. My daughter got the sushi and it was really good too. Honestly we enjoyed it and the young man (16) who helped us was soft spoken but sweet. We left saying we would definitely return.

This was our first time getting Ramen at a restaurant. We had been wanting to try one and the kids all loved it. We ordered one bowl and the boys all shared and that was plenty for them. The service was amazing. The gentleman was very friendly and helpful with the boys. The food was amazing. It filled us up and was a great experience. We would definitely come back.

I put in an online order as it said the restaurant was open, keep in mind this is at 5pm on a tuesday, so reasonable time to be open. Google says open, website says open, doordash says open. I put in my online order and it’s says it should be about ready so I head inside to find all the doors locked and the restaurant empty. I check the hours, and it says it should be open. I call NUMEROUS times and attempt to leave a voicemail only to find that their voicemail box is FULL. I have not gotten any money back or a response.

The food was really good as per all Chicago Ramen locations. But the service was subpar. We felt ignored and had to track down the waitress for water. The booths and table was not too clean. The food came out extremely fast. Atmosphere was a little odd and too intimate for the style of food being served. Otherwise, if able I would recommend a different Chicago Ramen location. We went for the special buy 2 for $17.99. Which was a good bargain, but I still would have went to another ramen place.

This place is so good! I tried the vegetable ramen and it was PHENOMENAL. The broth was full of amazing flavor and yet it was light. I’m usually a red miso fan but this is my new favorite by far. I used to go to the Crystal Lake location as it’s right next to my house. I will never go back there after several awful experiences with the manager and issues with cleanliness. I will 100% drive to this new Algonquin location to get the quality, cleanliness, and flavor I’ve come to love from Chicago Ramen!
